
Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index ranks mobile and fixed broadband speeds from around the world monthly. For fixed broadband download speeds, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has increased by12 spots in rank globally while Singapore is consistent at #1 spot this month. India’s performance in fixed median download speeds witnessed a slight increase from 50.02 Mbps in January to 50.87 Mbps in February 2023.Īccording to the February Speedtest Global Index, UAE retained its position on the chart for overall global median mobile speeds, whereas Ukraine increased 24 spots in rank globally. However on median fixed broadband speeds, India decreased by two spots in rank from 79 in January to 81 in February. Ookla also recorded 30.96 Mbps median mobile download speeds in February this year which is better than 29.85 Mbps in January 2023. In November, India ranked at 105th position, globally in median mobile speeds, as per Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index. According to the Speedtest Global Index, in the month of February, India witnessed a 2 spot in rank jump in median mobile download speeds globally from 69th in January to 67th in February 2023, making it a commendable performance by India in the past one quarter.
